Sky & Roses from a larger series of works recently on view at Hamline University in the exhibition titled "Cumulo Rosa: Garden for the Future." The images in "Sky & Roses" were created in late October 2025 as the garden was coming to a close. The work is about watching the light change as the plants change over a day, a week, a month. These are photographs of temporal collages made from plants, fragments of my photographs, painted marks and Color-Aid paper swatches piled on sheets of glass and placed in the sunshine. These images are digitally captured solargrams, a technique I invented. The series is about charting change and finding beauty in approaching endpoint in a single bloom, in a life, in a garden.
