Witchgrass
Panicum Capillare (Witchgrass), 12 x 30 ft. Wall-drawing, made of layered and cut Archival Inkjet Prints on heavyweight photo-paper, graphite on paper, acrylic on Yupo.
Each image is made of plants, photographs, plastics, and painted marks. All of the plant materials and photographs were taken from the swatches of urban prairie that have taken root along the train tracks, transitway or other peripheral spaces in my neighborhood in the middle of the city.
This work was included in the 2015 Jerome Emerging Artist Fellowship Exhibition at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
