Prairie Constructs
Ongoing series of photographs started in 2015 with the Jerome Emerging Artist Fellowship, there are currently over a hundred and forty images in this series that documents seasonal changes in an urban prairie. Each image is made of plants, cut-up photographs, plastics, and painted marks. All of the plant materials were collected from the "edgelands" along the train tracks, transit way and other peripheral spaces in my city neighborhood.
The Prairie Constructs Archive is an oversized artist book that can be found in the collection of The Walker Art Center
&
The Wilson Library Rare Book Collection at the University of Minnesota.
